I have 37 years of experience in family law, divorce, custody, adoption, guardianship and conservatorship, juvenile law, and probate law. I have represented individuals and their spouses in the military in divorce actions and am familiar with family care plans, division of military pensions, and other military-related issues. I have worked with individuals with mental health issues and their families. I represent children in juvenile courts in southeast Georgia in dependency cases, delinquency cases, and CHINS cases.  I represented children in the Family Treatment Court in the Juvenile Court of Chatham County for seven years and am familiar with addiction issues and how they impact families. I am a Certified Child Welfare Law Specialist, National Association of Counsel of Children.

 

I have 37 years of civil mediation experience and 32 years of experience as domestic case mediator. I am registered with the

Georgia Office of Dispute Resolution also in the following additional categories: domestic cases with domestic violence as an issue,

delinquency mediation, dependency mediation, and probate mediation.

 

I am a parenting coordinator who has experience in family law and psychological impact of divorce. I help parents develop or follow post-divorce custody agreements with the aim of reducing parental conflict and unneccessary court appearances. Contentious

divorces and their aftermath impact the parenting skills of the parents to the detriment of their children. I attempt to teach parents to

put their children first instead of their issues with each other so that their children may live their childhood with supportive parents.
